يَعْنِي مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ، أنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ، نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، نا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ فِي الَّذِي طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ قَالَ: " تَرِثُهُ فِي الْعِدَّةِ وَلَا يَرِثُهَا " وَهَذَا مُنْقَطِعٌ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مُغِيرَةُ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّمَا قَالَ: ذَكَرَ عُبَيْدَةُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُمَرَ، وَعُبَيْدَةُ الضَّبِّيُّ ضَعِيفٌ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ عُبَيْدَةُ إِلَى عُمَرَ فِي رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ عَنْهُ إِنَّمَا ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَالشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ⦗٥٩٦⦘.
Ibrahim narrates from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning a man who divorced his wife while he was ill: the woman will inherit from the man during the iddah, but the man will not inherit from the woman.
This is munqati' (broken); Mughirah did not hear it from Ibrahim, he only said: Ubaydah mentioned from Ibrahim from Umar; and Ubaydah al-Dabbi is da'if (weak). Moreover, in the narration of Yahya al-Qattan from him, Ubaydah did not trace it back to Umar; he only mentioned it from Ibrahim, and from al-Sha'bi from Shurayh, without Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) in it.
