أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ مِنَ الْحَائِضِ شَيْئًا أَمَرَهَا فَأَلْقَتْ عَلَى فَرْجِهَا ثَوْبًا، ثُمَّ صَنَعَ مَا أَرَادَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ: وَكُلُّ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثِقَاتٌ.
Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted something from a menstruating woman, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would instruct her to put a cloth over her private part, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would do what he wished. Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "All the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are thiqat (trustworthy)."
