وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حِبَّانَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، أنبأ أَبُو عَامِرٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَمْرٍو هُوَ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ: سُئِلَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنِ الْجُنُبِ وَالنُّفَسَاءِ، وَالْحَائِضِ، فَقَالَ: " لَمْ يُرَخَّصْ لَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَءُوا مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْئًا " ⦗٤٦٢⦘ وَرُوِّينَاهُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثُمَّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَالنَّخَعِيِّ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي الْحَائِضِ لَا تَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ.
Al-Awza'i (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to us that al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the person in a state of major impurity, the woman in postnatal bleeding and the menstruating woman. He said: They have not been given permission to recite anything of the Noble Qur'an. We have also narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and then from Ata, Abu al-Aliyah, al-Nakha'i and Sa'id bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on them), regarding the menstruating woman, that she does not recite the Qur'an.
