أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّارَبِرْدِيُّ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَلِيمِيُّ بِمَرْوَ قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْفَزَارِيُّ أنا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: " أَرْسَلَ أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ مَعَ عَائِشَةَ فِي مِرْطِهَا فَأَذِنَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ أَرْسَلْنَنِي إِلَيْكَ يَسْأَلْنَكَ الْعَدْلَ فِي ابْنَةِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ قَالَتْ: وَأَنَا سَاكِتَةٌ قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَلَسْتِ تُحِبِّينَ مَا أُحِبُّ؟ " قَالَتْ: بَلَى قَالَ: " فَأَحِبِّي هَذِهِ " قَالَتْ: فَقَامَتْ فَاطِمَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا حِينَ سَمِعَتْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَجَعَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ فَأَخْبَرَتْهُنَّ بِالَّذِي قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْنَ لَهَا: مَا نَرَاكِ أَغْنَيْتِ عَنَّا مِنْ شَيْءٍ، فَارْجِعِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُولِي لَهُ: إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ يَسْأَلْنَكَ الْعَدْلَ فِي ابْنَةِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ قَالَتْ: وَاللهِ لَا أُكَلِّمُهُ فِيهَا أَبَدًا، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: فَأَرْسَلْنَ أَزْوَاجُ رسول الله صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تُسَامِينِي مِنْهُنَّ، وَلَكِنِّي مَا رَأَيْتُ امْرَأَةً خَيْرًا فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ زَيْنَبَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا أَتْقَى لِلَّهِ وَأَصْدَقَ حَدِيثًا وَأَوْصَلَ لِلرَّحِمِ وَأَعْظَمَ صَدَقَةً، وَأَشَدَّ ابْتِذَالًا لِنَفْسِهَا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ الَّذِي تَصَدَّقُ بِهِ وَتَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَا عَدَا حِدَّةٍ فِيهَا تُوشِكُ الْفَيْئَةَ فِيهَا، قَالَتْ: فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ عَائِشَةَ فِي مِرْطِهَا بِمَنْزِلَةِ الَّتِي دَخَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ عَلَيْهَا وَهُوَ بِهَا قَالَتْ: فَأَذِنَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ أَرْسَلْنَنِي إِلَيْكَ يَسْأَلْنَكَ الْعَدْلَ فِي ابْنَةِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ، قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ وَقَعَتْ بِي فَاسْتَطَالَتْ عَلَيَّ، وَأَنَا أَرْقُبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَرْقُبُ طَرْفَهُ هَلْ يَأْذَنُ لِي فِيهَا؟ قَالَتْ: فَلَمْ تَبْرَحْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ حَتَّى عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَكْرَهُ أَنْ ⦗٤٨٩⦘ أَنْتَصِرَ، قَالَتْ: فَلَمَّا وَقَعْتُ بِهَا لَمْ أَنْشَبْ أَنْ أَعْتَبْتُهَا عَلَيْهِ، قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَبَسَّمَ: " إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ " قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: لَمْ يُقِمْ شَيْخُنَا هَذِهِ اللَّفْظَةَ وَلَعَلَّ الصَّوَابَ أَنْ أَثْخَنْتُهَا غَلَبَةً، وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى أَنْحَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قَهْزَاذَ عَنْ عَبْدَانَ.
Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was lying with Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) in her wrapper, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) permission (to enter). Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Your wives have sent me to you (peace and blessings be upon him) asking that you (peace and blessings be upon him) deal justly with us regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I remained silent. She said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not love whom I love?" Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Of course. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then love her." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she stood up, went back and told them what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said to her. They said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): You have done nothing at all on our behalf. Go back again and tell the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that his (peace and blessings be upon him) wives ask for justice regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Now I will not even speak about this matter. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Then the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Of them, she was the one who most rivalled me, but I have never seen a woman better in religion than Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her): the most fearful of Allah, the most truthful in speech, the most devoted to family ties, the greatest in giving charity, and the most self-devoted to deeds of goodness through which nearness to Allah, the Lord of Might, is sought; except that she had a sharp tongue, though her anger quickly subsided. She said: She sought permission to come to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was lying with Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) in her house, in her wrapper. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her permission, and she said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Your wives have sent me to you, asking you for justice regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah. Then she spoke harshly against me, and I waited for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and looked at him (peace and blessings be upon him) to see whether he (peace and blessings be upon him) would permit me (to reply). She said: Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) kept on talking, until I realised that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not dislike my retaliating. She said: When I started, I gave her a thorough scolding. She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said: "She is the daughter of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)." In another narration it says: I set upon her.
