باب: ما جاء في قول الله عز وجل: ولن تستطيعوا أن تعدلوا بين النساء ولو حرصتم فلا تميلوا كل الميل فتذروها كالمعلقة

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، نا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ} [النساء: ١٢٩] قَالَ: " فِي الْحُبِّ وَالْجِمَاعِ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, "And you will never be able to be just between wives, even if you strive (to do so)" [Surah al-Nisa: 129]: What is meant by this is love and sexual intercourse.
