وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الْغَفَّارِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، قَالَتْ: غَسَّلَ سَعْدٌ سَعِيدَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ وَحَنَّطَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْبَيْتَ فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَنَا: " إِنِّي لَمْ أَغْتَسِلْ مِنْ غُسْلِي إِيَّاهُ وَلَكِنِّي اغْتَسَلْتُ مِنَ الْحَرِّ ".
It is narrated from Aishah bint Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) washed Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) and applied perfume to him, then came home and took a ritual bath, and said to us: I did not take a bath because of washing him; rather, I took a bath because of the heat.
