أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ أَبِي قِمَاشٍ، وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: لَمَّا تَزَوَّجْتُ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ: ابْنُ أَبِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: " أَعْطِهَا شَيْئًا " فَقُلْتُ: أَثِبْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا عِنْدِي شَيْءٌ قَالَ: " فَأَيْنَ دِرْعُكَ الْحُطَمِيَّةُ؟ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: هَا هِيَ ذِي عِنْدِي قَالَ: " أَعْطِهَا إِيَّاهَا ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When I married Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), let me consummate the marriage. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give her something." I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have nothing. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where is your Hutami coat of mail?" Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is with me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give her that."
