وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ الْهَرَوِيّ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ: " أَمَرَ اللهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى بِالْعَفْوِ وَأَذِنَ فِيهَا، فَإِنْ عَفَتْ جَازَ عَفْوُهَا وَإِنْ شَحَّتْ وَعَفَا وَلِيُّهَا جَازَ عَفْوُهُ ".
Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Allah Almighty commanded forgoing and permitted it. If the woman forgoes, her forgoing is valid; and if she is reluctant and her guardian forgoes, his forgoing is valid.
