أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ يَمُوتُ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا وَقَدْ فَرَضَ لَهَا صَدَاقًا قَالَ: " لَهَا الصَّدَاقُ وَالْمِيرَاثُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ ".
Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked about a woman whose husband had died while a dowry had been fixed for her, and he said: She receives both the dowry and the inheritance.
