Al-Rabi' bin Sabrah narrates from his father Sabrah bin Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), at the conquest of Makkah, permitted his Companions mut'ah marriage. A companion of mine from Banu Sulaym and I went out, and we met a long-necked young woman of Banu Amir. We proposed mut'ah marriage to her and offered her our cloaks. She began to look at us; she saw me as more handsome than my companion, and found my companion's cloak finer than mine. Then she consulted herself, and then preferred me over my companion. She stayed with me for three days, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that they be left.
