أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَعْبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، أنبأ مُسَدَّدُ، ثنا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَعَبْدِ اللهِ ابْنَيْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا " لَا يَرَى بِمُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ بَأْسًا "، فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْهَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْإِنْسِيَّةِ "، رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ، مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ.
Hasan and Abdullah, the two sons of Muhammad bin Ali, narrate from their father that it was said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw no harm in mut'ah marriage. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade mut'ah marriage and eating the meat of domestic donkeys on the day of Khaybar."
