أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: تُسْتَأْمَرُ النِّسَاءُ فِي أَبْضَاعِهِنَّ قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُنَّ يَسْتَحْيِينَ قَالَ: " الْأَيِّمُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا، وَالْبِكْرُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ وَسُكَاتُهَا إِقْرَارُهَا "، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ.
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Women are to be consulted regarding their private parts (that is, regarding where they are to be married)." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! They feel shy. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A previously married woman has more right over herself, and a virgin is to be asked, and her remaining silent is her permission."
