أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبُوشَنْجِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: " أَسْتَأْذِنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلَى أُمِّي؟ فَقَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي مَعَهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ: " اسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَيْهَا "، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: إِنِّي خَادِمُهَا، فَقَالَ: " أَتُحِبُّ أَنْ تَرَاهَا عُرْيَانَةً؟ " قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَاسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَيْهَا ".
Ata bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Should I ask permission even from my mother? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes!" The man said: I live with her. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even so, ask permission." The man said: I serve her. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you like to see her naked?" He said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then ask permission."
