أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، أنبأ أَبُو يَعْلَى، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لَكَ تَتُوقُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَتَدَعُنَا قَالَ: " وَعِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ؟ " قَالَ: قُلْنَا: نَعَمِ ابْنَةُ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِي هِيَ ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ "، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! You find more excellence among Quraysh and leave us. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have anything?" We said: Yes, the daughter of Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is the daughter of my foster brother; she is not lawful for me."
