Book of Marriage
باب: ما أمره الله تعالى به من اختيار الآخرة على الأولى، ولا يمد عينيه إلى زهرة الحياة الدنيا، فقال تعالى: ولا تمدن عينيك إلى ما متعنا به أزواجا منهم زهرة الحياة الدنيا لنفتنهم فيه ورزق ربك خير وأبقى
Chapter: What Allah the Exalted commanded him (peace and blessings be upon him) of preferring the Hereafter over this world and not extending his eyes towards the splendour of worldly life, the Exalted saying: "And do not extend your eyes towards what We have given some groups of them to enjoy, the splendour of the life of this world, that We may test them thereby; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting"
Bayhaqi 13311 — What Allah the Exalted commanded him ﷺ of preferring

وَأَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ: " مَا شَبِعَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنْذُ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ مِنْ طَعَامِ بُرٍّ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ تِبَاعًا، حَتَّى قُبِضَ ". أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْفُضَيْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ بِذَلِكَ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ، وَبِمَعْنَاهُ رَوَاهُ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَعَابِسُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا.
Likewise (through another chain), except that in the narration of Mansur from Ibrahim the wording is: "The family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) never ate their fill of wheat food for three nights in succession from the time the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah until he passed away."
