Bayhaqi 13198 — The share for the cause of Allah
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ، إِلَّا لِخَمْسَةٍ: لِغَازٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، أَوْ لِعَامِلٍ عَلَيْهَا، أَوْ لِغَارِمٍ، أَوْ لِرَجُلٍ اشْتَرَاهَا بِمَالِهِ، أَوْ لِرَجُلٍ كَانَ لَهُ جَارٌ مِسْكِينٌ، فَتَصَدَّقَ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ، فَأَهْدَى الْمِسْكِينُ لِلْغَنِيِّ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Charity is not lawful for a wealthy person except for five: one who fights in the path of Allah, the collector, one burdened with a debt, a buyer, and a man who has a poor neighbour who receives charity and then gives it as a gift to his neighbour."
