قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَنْتَرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا وَعُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا " يَرْزُقَانِ أَرِقَّاءَ النَّاسِ " وَهَذَا يَحْتَمِلُ أَنْ يَكُونَا يُعْطِيَانَ سَادَاتِهِمْ كِفَايَاتِهِمْ وَكِفَايَاتِ أَرِقَّائِهِمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَغْنُونَ عَنْهُمْ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ، وَأَعْطَى مَمْلُوكَ زَيْدٍ بِالْمَعُونَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ مِنْهُ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ.
Harun bin Antarah narrated from his father that he said: I was present with Ali and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both); both of them used to give provision to people's slaves.
