وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَقُلْ: فِي النَّفْلِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، وَقَدْ وَهِمَ بَعْضُ الرُّوَاةِ فِيهِ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ وَابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ: وَلِلرَّاجِلِ سَهْمًا. وَالصَّحِيحُ رِوَايَةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ عَنْهُمَا، وَعَنْ غَيْرِهِمَا، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ كَمَا ذَكَرْنَا، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَهُوَ إِمَامٌ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الضَّرِيرُ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْحُفَّاظِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ مُفَسَّرًا.
It is reported from Ubaydullah (may Allah have mercy on him) likewise, except that he did not say: "from the spoils (nafl)."
Some narrators erred in it and narrated from Abu Usamah and Ibn Numayr, from Ubaydullah: "and one share for the man on foot." The correct version is the narration of the majority from these two and from others, from Ubaydullah, as we have mentioned. Sufyan al-Thawri, who is an imam, and Abu Mu'awiyah al-Darir, who is one of the hadith masters (huffaz), narrated it from Ubaydullah with the explanation.
