أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى الْحِيرِيُّ، أنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {مَنْ كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ} [النساء: ٦]: " إِنَّهَا نَزَلَتْ فِي وَالِي الْيَتِيمِ، إِذَا كَانَ فَقِيرًا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ مَكَانَ قِيَامِهِ عَلَيْهِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ.
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said concerning the saying of Allah Almighty, "And whoever is rich should abstain, and whoever is poor may consume what is reasonable" [Surah al-Nisa: 6], that this verse was revealed concerning the guardian of an orphan: when he is poor, he may eat from his wealth in a reasonable manner.
