Bayhaqi 12528 — The abrogation of inheritance through alliance

It is reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the verses "And those who believed and emigrated" [Surah al-Anfal: 72] and "And those who believed but did not emigrate" [Surah al-Anfal: 72] that the Bedouin would not inherit from the emigrant, nor would the emigrant inherit from him. Then the verse "And those of blood relationship are more entitled to one another" [Surah al-Anfal: 75] abrogated it.
