باب: توريث القربى منهن إذا كانت من قبل الأم، والإشراك بينهن إذا كانت القربى من قبل الأب وهو الصحيح من مذهب زيد رضي الله عنه
Chapter: The nearer grandmother inherits alone if she is on the mother's side, and they share if the nearer is on the father's side, which is the correct view of Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him)

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ، أنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: " إِذَا اجْتَمَعَتْ جَدَّتَانِ فَبَيْنَهُمَا السُّدُسُ، وَإِذَا كَانَتِ الَّتِي مِنْ قِبَلِ الْأُمِّ أَقْرَبَ مِنَ الْأُخْرَى فَالسُّدُسُ لَهَا، وَإِذَا كَانَتِ الَّتِي مِنْ قِبَلِ الْأَبِ أَقْرَبَ فَهُوَ بَيْنَهُمَا ".
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When two grandmothers come together, the sixth will be between them. When the one from the mother's side is nearer than the other, the sixth will be for the nearer one; and when the one from the father's side is nearer, the sixth will be between the two of them.
