It is narrated from Ibrahim and al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on them both) concerning a full sister and paternal half-brothers and half-sisters: according to the view of Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both), the full sister gets half and the remainder is divided among the paternal half-brothers and half-sisters under "to the male the like of the share of two females" [Surah al-Nisa: 11]; and according to the view of Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), the full sister gets half, the paternal half-sisters a sixth, completing two-thirds, and the remainder goes to the paternal half-brother. Two full sisters and a paternal half-brother and half-sister: according to the view of Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both), the two full sisters get two-thirds and the remainder is divided between the paternal half-brother and half-sister under "to the male the like of the share of two females" [Surah al-Nisa: 11]; and in the view of Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), the two full sisters get two-thirds and the remainder goes to the male alone, because in his view sisters do not get more than two-thirds.
