Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I fell ill, and I had seven sisters. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and sprinkled water on my face. When I came to, I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I will bequeath two-thirds to my sisters. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hold back." I said: Half? He (peace and blessings be upon him) again said: "Hold back." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) left, then came back, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Jabir! I see you as nothing but dying," or he said: "I do not think you will die from this illness, and Allah Almighty has revealed (a ruling) concerning your sisters, made it clear, and assigned two-thirds to them." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: These verses were revealed about me: "They ask you for a ruling. Say: Allah gives you a ruling concerning kalalah." [Surah al-Nisa: 176]
