قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ لَا يُوَرِّثُ الْجَدَّةَ إِذَا كَانَ ابْنُهَا حَيًّا ".
Al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) would not make the grandmother an heir alongside her living son.
