وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي عَلَى عَصًا، فَقَالُوا: هَذَا وَارِثُ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ، فَكُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهَا لَمَّا مَاتَتْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْ أَجْلِ مِيرَاثِهَا، فَلَمْ يُوَرَّثْ ".
Husayn said: I saw an old man walking with the support of a staff. They said: This is the heir of Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her). We used to talk about how, when Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) died, this old man became Muslim because of her inheritance, but he was not made an heir.
