أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، فِي آخَرِينَ، قَالُوا: ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْهَوْزَنِيِّ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ الْكِنْدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَنَا أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيْعَةً فَإِلِيَّ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ، وَأَنَا مَوْلَى مَنْ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُ، أَرِثُ مَالَهُ وَأَفُكُّ عَانَهُ، وَالْخَالُ مَوْلَى مَنْ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُ، يَرِثُ مَالَهُ وَيَفُكُّ عَانَهُ " قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: رَوَاهُ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَائِذٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ وَرَوَاهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ.
Sayyiduna al-Miqdam al-Kindi (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am closer to every believer than his own self. Whoever leaves a debt or leaves dependent children, that is my responsibility, and whoever leaves wealth, it is for his heirs. I am the guardian of one who has no guardian: I inherit his wealth and I will free his captives. And the maternal uncle is the guardian of one who has no guardian: he will inherit his wealth and free his captives."
