أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبْدُوسٍ الْعَنْزِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ: " عَلِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ بِخَصْلَتَيْنِ: بِالْقُرْآنِ وَبِالْفَرَائِضِ ".
Al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There are two distinctions in the knowledge of Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): the knowledge of the Qur'an and of the fara'id (laws of inheritance).
