أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلِّمُوهُ النَّاسَ، وَتَعَلَّمُوا الْعِلْمَ وَعَلِّمُوهُ النَّاسَ، وَتَعَلَّمُوا الْفَرَائِضَ وَعَلِّمُوهُ النَّاسَ؛ فَإِنَّ الْعِلْمَ سَيَنْقَضِي وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ، حَتَّى يَخْتَلِفَ الِاثَنَانِ فِي الْفَرِيضَةِ فَلَا يَجِدَانِ مَنْ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمَا " وَقَدْ قِيلَ: عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ.
It is reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Learn the Qur'an and teach it to people, learn knowledge and teach it to people, and learn the obligatory shares of inheritance (fara'id) and teach them to people, for knowledge will soon come to an end and trials will appear, until two men will disagree about an inheritance share and will find no one to judge between them."
