أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنِ الْتَقَطَ لُقَطَةً فَلْيُعَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً، فَإِنْ جَاءَ رَبُّهَا وَإِلَّا فَلْيَعْرِفْ عَدَدَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ لِيُأْكُلْهَا، فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَلْيَرُدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي مَتْنِهِ: " فَإِنِ اعُتُرِفَتْ فَأَدِّهَا، وَإِلَّا فَاعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا وَعَدَدَهَا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever finds a lost item, let him announce it for a year. If its owner comes, let him give it to him; otherwise let him count its number and know its tie, then consume it. If its owner comes, return it to him."
The words of a narration are: "If it is identified, give it back; otherwise know its pouch, its tie and its number."
