أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ، ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ بِفَضْلِ سِوَاكِهِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to order his family to perform ablution with the leftover water of his miswak.
