أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أنا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي سَفَرٍ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي مَزَادَتَيِ الْمُشْرِكَةِ، قَالَ: فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِنَاءٍ فَأفْرَغَ فِيهِ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِ الْمَزَادَتَيْنِ أَوِ السَّطِيحَتَيْنِ فَمَضْمَضَ فِي الْمَاءِ وَأَعَادَهُ فِي أَفْوَاهِ الْمَزَادَتَيْنِ أَوِ السَّطِيحَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أَوْكَأَ أَفْوَاهَهُمَا وَأَطْلَقَ الْعَزَالَى، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لِلنَّاسِ: " اشْرَبُوا وَاسْتَقُوا " مُخَرَّجٌ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَوْفٍ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that: We were on a journey; then he narrated the long hadith about the water skins of the polytheist woman. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a vessel, and he poured water into it from the mouths of the water skins, rinsed his mouth with the water, then put it (the water) back into the mouths of the water skins, then tied their mouths, then released the water skins. Then he said to the people: "Drink yourselves and give (your animals) to drink."
