Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) went out to the market, and shops had been built in the market. On his order they were pulled down. He passed by the houses of Banu al-Bakka' and said: "These are part of the Muslims' market." He ordered them to move away from there and to demolish those houses. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever gets to a place in the market first has the most right to it." The narrator says: You would see us: someone would be in one place today and in another place tomorrow.
