Sayyiduna Husayn bin Mushammit (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he came in a delegation to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), pledged allegiance to him on Islam, and gave the charity of his wealth. He (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him water wells as an estate. He named them, but our Shaykh could not retain those names. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laid down a condition on what he gave Ibn Mushammit: "That its water will not be sold, its pasture will not be cut off, and its trees will not be cut down."
