Shabib bin Gharqadah said: I heard the tribe narrating from Sayyiduna Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a dinar to buy a sheep for him with it. He bought two sheep for him with it, sold one of them for a dinar, and brought him a dinar and a sheep. So he prayed for blessing for him in his trade, and he was such that if he had bought dust, he would have made a profit on it.
Sufyan said: Al-Hasan bin Umarah brought us this hadith from him, saying that Shabib heard it from Urwah. So I went to him, and Shabib said: "I did not hear it from Urwah; I heard the tribe reporting it from him. But I did hear him say: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Good is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection.'" He said: And I saw seventy horses in his house. Sufyan said: He was to buy a sheep for him, as if it were a sacrifice.
