Bayhaqi 11212 — Reports on increases in a pledge

Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: I lent a man five hundred dirhams, and he gave me his horse as a pledge. I rode it (or he said: I gave it to someone to ride). He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whatever riding you have had from it is usury (riba).
