Bayhaqi 11196 — The permissibility of pledges

Ja'far bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pledged his coat of mail with a Jew named Abu al-Shahm, of Banu Zafar, for barley.
This is munqati' (has a broken chain), and what came before it suffices.
