أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا عَفَّانُ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، فِي قِصَّةِ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ قَالَ: فَجَاءَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُبِيدَتْ خَضْرَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ، لَا قُرَيْشَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ دَخَلَ دَارَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ، وَمَنْ أَلْقَى سِلَاحَهُ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ، وَمَنْ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ فَهُوَ آمِنٌ " أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، وَزَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: فَأَقْبَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَى دَارِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، وَأَغْلَقَ النَّاسُ أَبْوَابَهُمْ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), regarding the story of the Conquest of Makkah, said that Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the leaders of Quraysh have been destroyed. After today there will be no Quraysh left." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan will be granted safety, whoever throws down his weapons will also be granted safety, and whoever closes the door of his house will also be safe." The narrator said: The people went into the house of Abu Sufyan and closed the doors of their houses.
