أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّازِيُّ بِالرِّيِّ، أنبأ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ ⦗١٨⦘ عُمَرَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْهِرِّ وَأَكْلِ ثَمَنِهِ ". رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي السُّنَنِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ عَنْ، عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْهِرِّ.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "forbade eating a cat and taking its price." Imam Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded in his Sunan, through the chain of Abdur Razzaq, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "forbade the price of a cat."
