أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: " لَأَنْ أُقْرِضَ دِينَارَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِمَا؛ لِأَنِّي أُقْرِضُهُمَا فَيَرْجِعَانِ إِلِيَّ فَأَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِمَا فَيَكُونُ لِي أَجْرُهُمَا مَرَّتَيْنِ " وَرُوِّينَا، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " لَأَنْ أُقْرِضَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْطِيَهُ مَرَّةً "، وَرُوِيَ فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " لَأَنْ أُقْرِضَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ مَرَّةً "، وَرُوِيَ فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْهُ مَرْفُوعًا.
Salim narrates from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: For me to lend two dinars twice is dearer to me than to give them both in charity, because the two dinars that I lend will come back to me, then I will give them in charity, and so I will have a double reward.
(b) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): That I lend twice is dearer to me than that I give charity or a gift only once.
(c) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If I lend twice, that is dearer to me than giving charity once.
(b) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): That I lend twice is dearer to me than that I give charity or a gift only once.
(c) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If I lend twice, that is dearer to me than giving charity once.
