Bayhaqi 107 — The prohibition of eating from bowls of gold and silver

Anas bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I was with Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) among a group of Magians. Faludhaj (a sweet dish) was brought to him in a silver vessel, and Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) did not eat any of it. Then it was said to the Magians: Bring it in another vessel. So he transferred it to a vessel of khalanj wood and brought it in that, and Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) ate from that (vessel).
