أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، أنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ⦗٥٠٧⦘ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " الْعَرِيَّةُ الرَّجُلُ يُعْرِي الرَّجُلَ النَّخْلَةَ أَوِ الرَّجُلُ يَسْتَثْنِي مِنْ مَالِهِ النَّخْلَةَ أَوِ الِاثْنَتَيْنِ لِيَأْكُلَهَا فَيَبِيعَهَا بِتَمْرٍ ".
Abd Rabbih bin Sa'id al-Ansari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: 'Ariyyah is that a man gives another man a date palm on loan, or a man excludes one or two date palms from his property so that he may eat from them, and then he sells them for dried dates.
