أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أِيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟، قَالَ: " الْإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ " قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ " قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ "، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Which deeds are the best? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Faith in Allah." He asked: Then which deed is best? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jihad in the path of Allah." He asked: Then which? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "An accepted Hajj."
