قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرِ بْنِ بَرِّيٍّ، ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِذَا خَرَجَ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَلْيُؤَمِّرُوا أَحَدَهُمْ ".
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When three people set out on a journey, let them appoint one of themselves as their leader (amir)."
