Ata' bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the night when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was with her, he would go out to al-Baqi' in the last part of the night and say: "'Assalamu alaykum dara qawmin mu'minin, wa atakum ma tu'aduna ghadan mu'ajjalun, wa inna in sha' Allahu bikum lahiqun. Allahumma-ghfir li-ahli Baqi' al-Gharqad' (Peace be upon you, O dwellers of the abode of believers and Muslims. There has come to you what you were promised, and we have been given respite until tomorrow, and we, if Allah wills, will surely join you. O Allah, forgive the people of Baqi' al-Gharqad.)"
