Bayhaqi 10272 — Visiting the grave of the Prophet ﷺ
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْعَدْلُ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقِفُ عَلَى قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَدْعُو، ثُمَّ يَدْعُو لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ".
Abdullah bin Dinar said: I saw Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) stop at the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), send greetings of peace upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and supplicate, and he would also supplicate for Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).
