Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4143 — The killer does not inherit
نَا أَبُو طَالِبٍ الْحَافِظُ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَعْمَى ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَيْسَ لِقَاتِلٍ مِيرَاثٌ " .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The killer will not inherit."
