Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are two (occasions) when supplications are not rejected or are rarely rejected: one is the supplication at the time of the call to prayer (adhan), and the other is at the time of battle when people are engaged with each other (in combat).”

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 1233)
From this hadith, the times of acceptance of supplication (dua) are known: after the call to prayer (adhan) and at the time of fighting in the battlefield are among the times when supplications are accepted.
In addition to this, before the dawn (fajr) adhan and on Friday from the afternoon (asr) until the sunset (maghrib) adhan, these times are also among the times of acceptance of supplication, as is established from authentic ahadith.
