نا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، نا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ خَالِهِ وَهُوَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالتَّخْفِيفِ ، وَيَؤُمُّنَا بِالصَّافَّاتِ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct us to perform a light prayer (when leading), and he would lead us in prayer by reciting Surah As-Saffat.
