«استحيوا من الله تعالى حق الحياء من استحيا من الله حق الحياء فليحفظ الرأس وما وعى وليحفظ البطن وما حوى وليذكر الموت والبلا ومن أراد الآخرة ترك زينة الحياة الدنيا فمن فعل ذلك فقد استحيا من الله حق الحياء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Be modest before Allah Almighty with the modesty that is His due. Whoever wishes to fulfil the due of modesty before Allah, let him guard the head and what it contains (that is, the eyes, ears, tongue and so on), guard the belly and what it holds, and remember death and (the body's) decay (in the grave). Whoever intends the Hereafter abandons the adornment of the life of this world. So whoever does these things has truly fulfilled the due of modesty before Allah."
