«إسباغ الوضوء شطر الإيمان والحمد لله تملأ الميزان والتسبيح والتكبير يملأ السموات والأرض والصلاة نور والزكاة برهان والصبر ضياء والقرآن حجة لك أو عليك كل الناس يغدو فبائع نفسه فمعتقها أو موبقها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Performing ablution (wudu) thoroughly is half of faith; Alhamdulillah (all praise is for Allah) fills the Scale; tasbih and takbir (Subhan Allah and Allahu Akbar) fill the space between the heavens and the earth; prayer is light; zakah is a proof (of faith); patience is illumination; and the Qur'an is a proof either for you or against you. Every person sets out in the morning and sells his soul, then he either frees it (by doing good) or destroys it (by sinning)."
